Where to Meet Fellow Griffins

Beyond the classroom, getting involved is the best way to make lifelong friendships at GMercyU. Here are a few popular ways to do just that.

  • Clubs & Organizations — Our numerous clubs and organizations are designed to fit into your schedule whether you are a commuter or resident and are a great way to meet new friends. Don't see an organization you'd like to join? Contact studentengagement@joe-yan.net to launch a new one! 

  • Athletics — Show your Griffin Pride by participating in or supporting one of our 18 DIII teams!

  • Community Service — Service is at the heart of the Mercy experience that GMercyU offers. Explore your options!

  • Leadership Programs — Grow practical, real-world skills such as communication, problem-solving, working in teams, conflict resolution, and more by joining one our our Leadership Programs.

Where to Study Between Classes

Looking for a quiet place to sit and study between classes? The following locations are the perfect setting.

  • Computer Labs
  • Keiss Library
  • Maguire Hall
  • Residence Hall Lounges
  • Rotelle Lounge
  • University Hall Rotunda
  • Waldron Lounge, 2nd floor

On nice days, the Adirondack chairs and hammocks outside of the Waldron Center make great spots for studying. Or, grab a seat at the Triplex's beautiful new patio with plenty of tables and comfy seating options.

GMercyU allowed me to commute so I could still live at home, see my hometown friends, and continue working where I'd worked for years. This University really makes you feel at home. Everyone is extremely friendly on campus, and you can really tell the professors care for their students and their academic success.

Or, get some sun and fresh air on our sprawling, park-like campus! Lounge outside of the Waldron Center, on the Triplex patio, and other spots throughout our 145 acres.

Commuter Tip: Prefer to grab a bite on the way to campus? GMercyU is surrounded by dozens of restaurants and fast food options just minutes from campus. 

 

Parking Info

Commuters are welcome to use Lots C, D, F, and P (see campus map here).

The annual parking fee for commuters can be found on our Tuition page.

Commuter Tip: Lots C and D are near locations of many classes, while Lot F is located next to The Griffin Complex. Lot P will place you closer to Maguire Hall and the intramural sports fields.
